Welcome to Bloodman's Bloody Books!

Hi everyone! First of all, I'd like to welcome you all to the Bloody Books website, the place where we will discuss all kinds of fun stuff! Though I will try to focus mostly on horror-type books, I have a tendency to ramble sometimes, so it's possible we will get a bit off topic from time to time. But not to worry, I guarantee non-stop entertainment and fun had by all! And please feel free to comment as much as you want, whether positive or negative! In fact, I probably prefer disagreements, as this will ususally result in a much more pleasurable reading experience for everyone! And to be honest, I'll be happy if anyone is actually looking at this thing in the first place, so anything you have to say will be more than welcome!

Okay, now down to business! Since this is our first post, I want to devote it to one of the greatest writers of horror out there - Richard Laymon! And the book I've chosen to review first is Endless Night. For anyone who hasn't read any of Laymon's books, please do so as soon as possible! If you are a fan of horror stories, I can safely guarantee that once you read one of his books (and it honestly doesn't matter which one - they are all fantastic), you will be hooked for life! And although he has sadly died way ahead of his time, he was very prolific during his writing career, so we are lucky enough to have a large amount of his work to choose from!

Anyway, Endles Night is a fantastic book if you're in the mood for non-stop action and plenty ofblood and guts! The action starts right off the bat, and it never really lets up. And the gore quotient is plenty high, which is always a good thing! And not to give away too much about the book, but you may be surprised who actually ends up kicking the bucket in this one (which is a common trait in Laymon books - no one is safe)! When I first read this book, I had to order it from England, as it wasn't available in the US yet, but Leisure Books has since released it, so it is readily available for all. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up as soon as you get a chance! And if you already own it, read it again - it's great!!!

I give this one 5 (out of 5) Bloody Skulls!
